HBSC Resource Licence Terms

The Home Buying and Selling Council (HBSC) provides open-licence and professional-use materials to support reform across the home-moving process.


By downloading, purchasing, or using any HBSC resource, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to use the materials in accordance with these terms.

 

1. Home Moving Reform Toolkit Licence

Licence type

Royalty-free, non-exclusive licence for professional and educational use.

You may:

  • Use, share, and adapt the Toolkit materials for your own professional, organisational, or educational purposes.

  • Incorporate extracts into internal documents, presentations, and training, provided attribution to the HBSC is retained.

You must:

  • Include all essential data points, wording, or references if adapting any document.

  • Not misrepresent, rebrand, or imply endorsement by the HBSC or its members.

  • Take full responsibility for verifying the accuracy of any data or adapted content.

You may not:

  • Sell, sublicense, or distribute the Toolkit commercially.

  • Remove or alter HBSC logos, acknowledgements, or copyright statements.

The HBSC provides the Toolkit “as is.” No warranty is given, and neither the HBSC nor its contributors accept any liability for use, interpretation, or outcomes.

 

2. Moving Made Clear Licence

Licence type

Professional-use licence within a firm, organisation, or network.

You may:

  • Share the Moving Made Clear guides directly with your clients as part of your professional service.

  • Use the guides in printed or digital form within welcome packs, client briefings, or staff training.

  • Reproduce extracts internally for educational or communication purposes.

You must:

  • Retain the HBSC branding and acknowledgements on every copy shared.

  • Use the materials responsibly, ensuring the information is presented accurately and in context.

  • Replace any previous versions when updated editions are released.

You may not:

  • Resell, publish publicly online, or distribute the guides as stand-alone consumer products.

  • Alter or remove HBSC branding or authorship details.
