The Home Buying and Selling Council (HBSC) website is currently operated by Designs on Property Ltd (Company No. 05294873). A Community Interest Company is in the process of being established.
Why We Created the Pledge
Home moving should feel clearer and more supportive than it often does.
The Pledge was created to unite industry partners around the same goals - reducing stress, improving communication, and building trust at every step.
Together, we set out to:

Raise professional standards and consumer confidence
The Pledge was finalised in May 2024 and adopted by all HBSC Steering Group partners. We are updating the Pledge to reflect the changes to the Material Information Guidance and the Government Consultation.
"We pledge to support the work of the Home Buying and Selling Council to make home moving faster, certain, and less risky.
We commit to sharing knowledge, testing solutions, and promoting transparency to improve outcomes for buyers, sellers, and professionals alike."
Every signatory organisation has agreed to embed these principles into their work - testing new ideas, raising standards, and helping consumers make confident decisions.
